Hiroki Moriya holds a substantial edge in the Zhangjiagang Challenger qualifying opener on outdoor hard courts due to his higher ranking (around 442-510 range) and greater experience as a veteran campaigner compared to Grigoriy Lomakin's ATP 896 standing. Moriya's 2026 schedule shows steady participation across Challengers and ITF events with a roughly even win-loss record, while Lomakin enters with a 15-19 seasonal mark and limited recent singles success. This first meeting features no direct head-to-head history, and trader consensus reflects the disparity through heavy favoritism toward Moriya. Lomakin's recent focus on doubles, including a Taipei semifinal run, offers limited preparation insight for this singles clash. Surface familiarity favors both players, though Moriya's consistency in hard-court qualifiers shapes the implied probability gap.
