Madison Brengle faces Anastasia Gasanova in the first round of US Open women's singles qualifying on outdoor hard courts. The 36-year-old American, ranked around No. 211-213 with a 32-24 record in 2026, brings extensive experience and a respectable hard-court mark this season but enters with mixed recent results, including straight-set losses in ITF and Challenger events. Gasanova, the 27-year-old Russian ranked near No. 193-194 with a 19-14 ledger, shows stronger momentum after reaching Wimbledon qualifying wins and a recent Istanbul Challenger victory. No prior head-to-head exists, and both players lack reported injuries, making Gasanova the slight favorite in trader pricing due to age, form, and ranking edge on the surface.
