Oksana Selekhmeteva and Taylah Preston meet on outdoor hard courts in the WTA 125 Philadelphia event, where both players enter with closely aligned WTA rankings near 100. Preston holds a head-to-head edge after defeating Selekhmeteva on grass earlier in 2026 and has posted stronger recent hard-court results, including a title run in Vancouver and consistent wins through the North American swing. Selekhmeteva brings solid baseline consistency but has shown mixed form in recent hard-court qualifiers. The hard surface favors players with reliable first-strike tennis and movement, areas where Preston’s recent momentum and tiebreak record could prove decisive in a tightly matched encounter.
