This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed club is determined as the runner-up of the Japan J. League for the 2026-27 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Japan J. League for the 2026-27 season per the rules of Japan J. League (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the Japan J. League; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The 2026–27 J1 League season remains in its opening weeks, with just two or three matches completed for most clubs, producing tightly bunched early standings that underscore the absence of a clear frontrunner for runner-up. Kashiwa Reysol and Kashima Antlers sit atop the table after strong starts, but Sanfrecce Hiroshima, Machida Zelvia, Yokohama F. Marinos, and Cerezo Osaka are within striking distance on points and goal difference. Pre-season expectations centered on defending champions Kashima, Vissel Kobe, and promoted or resurgent sides such as Machida and Kashiwa have not yet translated into separation, while established clubs including Urawa Red Diamonds, Kawasaki Frontale, and FC Tokyo retain squad depth and historical pedigree. This parity, combined with the long campaign ahead and typical mid-season roster adjustments, keeps implied probabilities clustered across more than a dozen contenders.
