The 2026-27 Serbian SuperLiga season opened in mid-July with an unusually open race for second place behind perennial champion Red Star Belgrade. Early results show IMT Novi Beograd and Čukarički occupying the top spots after several matchweeks, while Vojvodina has carried momentum from its strong 2025-26 campaign. Partizan’s ongoing financial issues and squad reductions have removed them as automatic contenders, widening the field to include OFK Beograd, Novi Pazar, and Radnički sides. With only a handful of fixtures completed and no team establishing clear separation in the championship round qualification spots, trader pricing reflects the absence of a dominant favorite for runner-up and the realistic chance any of the mid-table or promoted clubs could sustain a top-two challenge through the split-phase schedule.
