The 2026-27 LaLiga season, which determines 2027-28 UEFA Champions League qualification via top-four finishes plus any additional European Performance Spot, opened with Barcelona installed as title favorites after back-to-back crowns under Hansi Flick. Real Madrid’s major rebuild under José Mourinho, featuring high-profile arrivals and Kylian Mbappé’s continued presence, shapes the primary rivalry. Atlético Madrid’s long-standing consistency positions them as the strongest candidate for the remaining automatic spots, while Villarreal, Real Betis, Valencia, and others carry realistic top-four upside according to early Opta simulations. Squad depth, European schedule congestion, and transfer-window reinforcements remain pivotal variables as the campaign unfolds.

Resolution is based on the competition to which the listed team is allocated by the final 2026-27 LaLiga standings, the 2026-27 domestic cup results, and the 2026-27 UEFA competition winners. A place obtained by playing and advancing through the UEFA qualifying rounds held after the domestic season does not count, and movement between competitions caused by those qualifying rounds has no bearing on resolution.
Once it becomes mathematically impossible for the listed team to earn a 2027-28 UEFA Champions League place by these routes, the associated market will immediately resolve to "No".
If the 2026-27 LaLiga season is cancelled or postponed past June 14, 2027, 11:59 PM ET such that the 2027-28 UEFA Champions League places cannot be determined, this market will resolve to "No".
The resolution source for this market will be official information from UEFA and/or LaLiga; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
