Liga MX’s 2026-27 campaign opened with notable defensive parity across the league, as early Apertura results show América conceding just two goals in five matches while maintaining a clean-sheet edge alongside clubs like Tijuana, Toluca, and León. Trader consensus clusters Tigres UANL and Club América near 38% on the strength of experienced keepers Nahuel Guzmán and Rodolfo Cota plus recent roster reinforcements, yet the tight grouping reflects the two-tournament schedule’s length and the absence of a dominant back line. Mid-table sides with solid recent form and no major defensive injuries keep pressure on the leaders, while lower-priced clubs face steeper barriers in sustaining shutouts over 34-plus matches.
