Matvey Safonov holds a narrow edge in the 2026-27 Ligue 1 most clean sheets market due to his established role as Paris Saint-Germain’s primary goalkeeper and the club’s historically robust defensive structure. The bunched pricing across dozens of outcomes, including Robin Risser, Lucas Chevalier, Dominik Greif, Brice Samba, and others clustered near or below 50% implied probability, reflects early-season uncertainty before meaningful match data accumulates. Ligue 1’s competitive balance, variable team defenses, potential rotation or injuries at elite clubs, and the proven ability of mid-table sides to post surprise shutout runs keep the field wide open. Traders price in the possibility that strong recent form from keepers at Lens, Lyon, or Strasbourg could close any gap quickly once fixtures begin.
