Paris Saint-Germain enter the 2026-27 Ligue 1 campaign as clear frontrunners after securing back-to-back titles and Champions League crowns, with a strengthened squad featuring additions like Ferran Torres and Lucas Digne under Luis Enrique. The race for the remaining three automatic UEFA Champions League berths plus the playoff spot centers on RC Lens, LOSC Lille, Olympique Lyonnais, Olympique de Marseille, Stade Rennais, and AS Monaco, where simulations assign Lens the highest probability among challengers. Early season results show Marseille atop the table after opening wins while PSG drew at Rennes, with several contenders managing European fixtures that could influence squad rotation and form. Key variables include summer transfers, managerial shifts at Lille, financial constraints at Marseille, and the impact of midweek European commitments on domestic consistency throughout the campaign.

Resolution is based on the competition to which the listed team is allocated by the final 2026-27 Ligue 1 standings, the 2026-27 domestic cup results, and the 2026-27 UEFA competition winners. A place obtained by playing and advancing through the UEFA qualifying rounds held after the domestic season does not count, and movement between competitions caused by those qualifying rounds has no bearing on resolution.
Once it becomes mathematically impossible for the listed team to earn a 2027-28 UEFA Champions League place by these routes, the associated market will immediately resolve to "No".
If the 2026-27 Ligue 1 season is cancelled or postponed past June 12, 2027, 11:59 PM ET such that the 2027-28 UEFA Champions League places cannot be determined, this market will resolve to "No".
The resolution source for this market will be official information from UEFA and/or Ligue 1; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
