The June 2026 update expanded the DoD’s Section 1260H list to 188 entities, adding 65 new designations—including Alibaba, Baidu, BYD, NIO, Unitree Robotics, RoboSense, WuXi AppTec, CXMT, and YMTC—reflecting intensified scrutiny of military-civil fusion across AI, semiconductors, EVs, robotics, biotech, and solar supply chains. This followed congressional pressure and aligned with tightened procurement bans taking effect through mid-2027. Trader sentiment for remaining candidates like DeepSeek, Xiaomi, and ByteDance centers on continued annual reviews, potential litigation outcomes (such as WuXi’s injunction), and bipartisan focus on dual-use AI and autonomy technologies that could trigger further parent-level or subsidiary additions before the June 2027 resolution window.
