The WSOP Player of the Year race remains exceptionally tight heading into WSOP Paradise because Shaun Deeb, William Foxen, and Naoya Kihara sit within roughly 30 points of one another after the Las Vegas schedule concluded, with Deeb holding a slim lead at 3,410 points. Multiple bracelet wins, final-table finishes in high-buy-in mixed and high-roller events, and consistent cashes have kept these three clustered at the top of the official leaderboard that counts only a player’s best 15 results. Deeper runs by Jesse Lonis, Joshua Arieh, and Daniel Negreanu have produced solid point totals but left them too far back for meaningful contention unless the leaders falter in the Bahamas. Trader pricing reflects this narrow gap and the high variance still possible from remaining events.
