Jannik Sinner’s withdrawal due to a knee injury has elevated Carlos Alcaraz to the top spot in the 2026 US Open field at an implied 33.5% probability, reflecting traders’ assessment of the Spaniard’s hard-court pedigree and recent training progress after a four-month wrist absence. Alexander Zverev sits second at 19.8%, bolstered by his recent French Open breakthrough and consistent form entering the hard-court swing. Novak Djokovic holds third at 10.6% on the strength of his experience and multiple US Open titles, while younger contenders like Ben Shelton and Arthur Fils trail further back amid a depleted draw. These probabilities capture the wisdom of crowds incorporating confirmed roster changes, recent Grand Slam results, and injury timelines ahead of the late-August start.
