**Carlos Alcaraz leads the 2026 US Open winner market at 33.5% after confirming his return from a four-month right-wrist injury layoff, while world No. 1 Jannik Sinner withdrew with a right-knee issue.** The defending champion’s proven hard-court pedigree—including the 2025 title—and favorable seeding (projected No. 2) sustain his position despite zero competitive matches since April. Alexander Zverev sits at 19.7% as the top seed and recent French Open champion, buoyed by consistent Slam results but tempered by recent hard-court inconsistencies. Novak Djokovic at 10.3% benefits from an eased path and motivation for a 25th major at age 39. Rising Americans Ben Shelton (7.8%) and Taylor Fritz (5.5%), plus Arthur Fils (5.9%), gain from the altered bracket, though the field remains open given Alcaraz’s rust and the depth of contenders.
