The 2026 Chinese Super League runner-up race remains wide open with roughly eight matchweeks left, as Chengdu Rongcheng has pulled clear at the top while a cluster of teams sits within striking distance of second place. Beijing Guoan, Qingdao West Coast, Dalian Yingbo, Yunnan Yukun, and Shandong Taishan occupy the next tier on the table, separated by narrow margins in points, goal difference, and head-to-head results. Recent results have produced frequent swings, with several clubs posting mixed form amid congested fixtures, travel demands, and occasional points deductions. Depth in attacking options and defensive organization varies across the group, leaving no side with a decisive edge in the remaining schedule. Trader consensus reflects this parity, pricing multiple realistic paths to second while acknowledging that late surges or slips could still reorder the standings.
