The 2026–27 SuperSport HNL season opened on 31 July with a tightly bunched field after five rounds, as Osijek and Varaždin sit atop the table on 12 points while Dinamo Zagreb and Hajduk Split trail on 10. Early results reflect broad parity among the 10-team division, with no side establishing clear dominance and lower-table clubs like Gorica and Slaven Belupo already under pressure. Late-summer transfer activity has further leveled expectations, as Dinamo secured returns for Luka Ivanušec and Iker Almena alongside goalkeeper reinforcements, Hajduk added midfield depth with Khalil Fayad, and other clubs completed targeted roster moves ahead of the 7 September window close. These developments, combined with the extended 31 July–22 May campaign and typical variance in form over a long schedule, keep implied probabilities clustered near even money across the field in trader consensus.
