The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NCAA (https://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fbs); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The 2026 Big 12 rushing yards race remains tightly contested because multiple proven backs return with comparable production profiles and supporting casts, while several high-upside transfers enter new schemes. LJ Martin, the 2025 league leader with 1,305 yards at BYU, anchors one contender group alongside Cameron Dickey at Texas Tech, Wayshawn Parker at Utah, and Joe Jackson at Kansas State. Newcomers such as Caleb Hawkins at Oklahoma State and Cam Cook at West Virginia add further parity, as do depth options like Dylan Edwards, Makhi Hughes, and Dawson Pendergrass. With the regular season just underway and no extended sample of conference play yet available, trader consensus reflects the absence of a clear workload or efficiency edge across 16 programs.
