This market resolves according to the academic class of the player who wins the 2026 Heisman Trophy, as officially listed for the 2026 college football season. The outcome corresponding to the winner's class will resolve "Yes"; all other outcomes will resolve "No". The winner's "class" is the eligibility class officially designated for that player for the 2026 season by their school and/or the official Heisman/NCAA records at the time the award is presented. Where a player's class is listed with a redshirt designation (e.g., "redshirt sophomore"), the underlying class (sophomore) governs. Graduate students and any player in a fifth year or beyond are counted under "Senior." If official sources conflict on the winner's class, resolution will follow the class listed by the player's own school on its official 2026 roster. If the class cannot be determined from official sources, this market resolves based on a consensus of credible reporting. If no 2026 Heisman Trophy is awarded, this market will resolve "Other". The primary resolution source will be official information from the Heisman Trophy Trust (https://www.heisman.com) and the winning player's school; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.**Trader consensus on the class of the 2026 Heisman Trophy winner reflects the eligibility profiles of the preseason favorites heading into the 2026 NCAA Football season.** “Other” leads at 50.0% as a broad category capturing non-standard or variable eligibility situations among contenders, followed by Junior at 40.5%, Senior/Graduate at 33.0%, Sophomore at 29.0%, and Freshman at just 3.8%. Top signal-callers and skill players driving the market include redshirt juniors such as Texas QB Arch Manning and Miami transfer QB Darian Mensah, plus Ohio State WR Jeremiah Smith (junior), all positioned for strong production in high-profile offenses with playoff implications. Notre Dame QB CJ Carr and Ohio State QB Julian Sayin, both redshirt sophomores after strong 2025 campaigns as first-year starters (Carr: 2,741 pass yards, 24 TDs; Sayin: elite completion rate and Heisman finalist), bolster the sophomore and junior probabilities. The 2025 winner, Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza (redshirt junior), highlights recent trends favoring experienced underclassmen or redshirt players who transfer or develop quickly rather than true freshmen. Preseason depth charts and expert rankings emphasize returning starters with supporting casts, experience, and team success potential, keeping junior and “other” categories prominent while limiting freshman odds in a wide-open field.
