The Saudi Pro League's 2026-27 campaign opened on August 13 with 18 teams vying for position, and the race for 15th remains wide open because no clear relegation-zone frontrunner has emerged after two matchweeks. Mid-table sides such as Al-Fayha, Al-Hazem, Al-Riyadh and Al-Kholood face squad limitations that could drop them into the scrap, while newly promoted Abha, Al-Faisaly and Al-Diriyah arrive with momentum and fresh investment. Coaching appointments like Bruno Lage at Al-Diriyah add uncertainty, as does the league's high-scoring style that amplifies small differences in form or injury luck. This parity among a broad group of clubs underpins the bunched market pricing.
