Paper Rex enters the VCT Pacific Stage 2 upper quarterfinal as the more consistent Pacific performer with multiple international grand final appearances and a regional title in Stage 1, while Nongshim RedForce arrives via play-ins after a 2-3 group stage record. Nongshim’s peak remains high following its Masters Santiago 2026 title, where it swept Paper Rex 3-0, and a strong EWC finish, though Paper Rex reversed that momentum with a 2-1 win that ended Nongshim’s 14-match streak earlier in the year. Recent roster stability, map pool familiarity in the best-of-three format, and home-region scheduling favor the Singapore side’s experience edge, yet Nongshim’s aggressive playstyle and recent qualification momentum keep the series closely contested in trader pricing.
