Real Madrid enter the 2026-27 La Liga campaign as the clear market leader for runner-up at 65.5% implied probability, reflecting the widespread view among traders that Barcelona will claim a third straight title. José Mourinho’s return to the Bernabéu and targeted summer reinforcements have positioned Los Blancos as the strongest challenger after finishing second in each of the prior two seasons. Barcelona sit second in the runner-up market at 17.5%, buoyed by squad continuity and attacking talent but priced lower due to their elevated title odds. Atlético Madrid, Villarreal, and Real Betis occupy the next tier around 9-10%, consistent with their expected roles in the Champions League qualification battle rather than sustained contention for second place. Early-season results have yet to shift these probabilities meaningfully.
