Liberty aims to rebound from a disappointing 2025 campaign under Jamey Chadwell with added transfer depth, while Western Kentucky benefits from Tyson Helton’s consistent track record of contention and a strong returning quarterback. Jacksonville State returns dual-threat QB Caden Creel and defensive standouts, Delaware leverages continuity around QB Nick Minicucci in its second FBS season, and defending champion Kennesaw State seeks to sustain momentum despite significant offensive turnover. Early non-conference results, including Jacksonville State’s Week 0 loss, and upcoming conference matchups will quickly shape the race toward the December 4 championship game.
