Republican Senator Thom Tillis has publicly urged President Trump to replace him, citing a “leadership void,” while Democrats have highlighted risks to military readiness during the Iran conflict. Trump has shown no signs of moving against Hegseth, instead naming acting officials and sidestepping questions about his future.
