This market will resolve to “Yes” if, at any point during calendar year 2026, any of the following occurs: 1. LIV Golf publicly announces that its league operations have permanently ended, ceased, or been discontinued; or 2. LIV Golf publicly announces that it will permanently stop holding league events and that the league will not continue in its current form or any successor competitive form under the LIV Golf name; or 3. LIV Golf cancels or abandons the remainder of its 2026 season and publicly confirms that no further LIV Golf league events will be held and that league operations will not resume; or 4. LIV Golf is dissolved, liquidated, or merged, absorbed, or restructured into another organization in a manner that results in LIV Golf no longer existing as an operating standalone professional golf league and no longer holding its own branded competitions Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. A qualifying public announcement during 2026 that LIV Golf will permanently cease league operations will count for a “Yes” resolution regardless of when the announced cessation goes into effect. Temporary suspensions, pauses, schedule reductions, event postponements, format changes, restructurings, ownership changes, or mergers/acquisitions in which LIV Golf continues operating as a subsidiary, division, or continuing branded league will not count. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from LIV Golf; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.LIV Golf's ongoing pursuit of new capital and restructuring plans underpin trader expectations that no shutdown announcement will come in 2026. After the Saudi Public Investment Fund ended its backing following the current season, CEO Scott O'Neil secured a lead investor term sheet in early August, with board approval and interest from additional parties to fund a scaled LIV 2.0 model featuring 10 events, player majority equity stakes, and retained commercial rights. Indianapolis serves as the de facto 2026 finale after Michigan's cancellation, yet the league completed its schedule while advancing transition talks toward a September close and multi-year runway. Player buy-in requirements and pending contract details introduce some uncertainty, but the active investor process and explicit forward commitments outweigh shutdown signals in current market pricing.
