Angel Reese holds overwhelming market consensus as the WNBA's 2026 rebounds-per-game leader due to her continued elite production on the glass for the Atlanta Dream. She currently averages 12.0 rebounds per game through 36 contests—well clear of Jessica Shepard's 11.2—while leading the league in offensive rebounds and securing a league-high 24 double-doubles. Reese's combination of size, positioning, and relentless pursuit has produced multiple single-season records, extending her streak of topping the category in prior years. With limited games remaining, only a significant injury absence for Reese or an unprecedented late surge in minutes and efficiency from Shepard or A'ja Wilson could realistically narrow the gap enough to shift the outcome.
