The 2026–27 NB I runner-up market sits in a dead heat because the league’s overall parity and early-season volatility leave no obvious second-place frontrunner once the title race between defending champions Győri ETO and Ferencváros is set aside. Puskás Akadémia leads the table after six rounds, Újpest and MTK sit close behind, and clubs such as Paksi, Debrecen, Vasas and Kisvárda all carry realistic ambitions for a top-two finish. European commitments, squad depth, and the triple round-robin format further compress the field, while pre-season assessments already highlighted a level midfield pack with limited separation in projected points. Trader pricing therefore reflects broad uncertainty rather than any single standout contender.
