**Mega Gengar ex SIR (#284) from Ascended Heroes sits at a pivotal $1,051 raw level amid recent softening.** Strong collector demand for the popular ghost-type Pokémon, its distinctive danciao artwork, and the broader 2026 Mega Evolution revival initially drove the card to peak prices above $1,400 earlier in the summer. However, a 20–30% pullback over the past 30–90 days—reflected in recent sales clustering between $910 and $1,035—has left the market evenly split on whether the floor holds or erodes further by September 30. Key swing factors include ongoing raw supply entering the market, any late-summer grading influx that could affect perceived scarcity, and seasonal collector interest heading into fall. A new set announcement or sustained competitive play could quickly shift momentum one way or the other.
