This market will resolve to the manager who wins the 2026 American League Manager of the Year award for the 2026 MLB Season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the manager whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Baseball; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.**Will Venable’s commanding lead in the AL Manager of the Year market stems primarily from the Chicago White Sox’s rapid turnaround.** In his second season, Venable has guided a young roster from a 102-loss 2025 campaign to first place in the AL Central (roughly 67-62 as of late August 2026), comfortably ahead of Cleveland. Traders price this overperformance and playoff positioning as the decisive narrative, reflected in his 59.5% implied probability. Kevin Cash (Rays, AL East leaders) and other division skippers trail because their teams’ results align more closely with preseason expectations, while Venable’s club has far exceeded them. Recent form, bench and bullpen depth utilization, and steady handling of high-leverage situations have reinforced market sentiment around the White Sox’s sustained contention.
