The Houston Texans' elite defense, anchored by Will Anderson Jr. and returning starters, gives them the edge in projected win totals near 9-10 and positions them as slight favorites in the two scheduled divisional matchups. Indianapolis counters with Daniel Jones returning from Achilles surgery and a rebuilt young defense, but faces a brutal early slate that includes the Texans. Preseason roster adjustments, including Texans additions like David Montgomery and Colts depth questions at skill positions, reinforce the closely matched nature of the series. Trader consensus reflects this balance, pricing a split as the leading outcome while viewing a Colts sweep as the longest shot.
