This market will resolve to "Fremantle Dockers" if Fremantle Dockers is officially credited with the match win. This market will resolve to "Hawthorn Hawks" if Hawthorn Hawks is officially credited with the match win. The official final result will be used, including extra time when the competition uses it. Resolution will be based on official Australian Football League results. If official results have not been published within 24 hours after the match concludes, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.Fremantle’s perfect home record at Optus Stadium this season is balanced by the confirmed absence of key defender Brennan Cox with a moderate calf strain, opening opportunities for Hawthorn’s tall forwards including Jack Gunston. Both sides enter the qualifying final in strong recent form, with the Hawks securing a top-four finish via a commanding win over West Coast in Perth and the Dockers claiming the minor premiership despite a late-season loss to Carlton. Their earlier meeting at the same venue produced a narrow Fremantle victory after a late surge, highlighting the potential for momentum swings in contested situations. Trader consensus at even money reflects these offsetting factors—Fremantle’s home dominance and midfield depth versus Hawthorn’s forward structure and recent road success—while further injury updates, final team selections, or early-quarter execution could shift sentiment ahead of the September clash.
