He has also renewed calls for legislative changes on homelessness, mental health, and addictions treatment, aligning with ongoing municipal priorities. The field includes multiple registered candidates such as Miranda Rocca-Circelli (15 percent), Troy Crowder (7.5 percent), Bob Johnston, Joseph Boutros, Keenan Menard, Michael McIntosh, and Rodney Newton (all around 3–3.5 percent), plus several lower-probability entrants. Bill Leduc withdrew from the mayoral race to seek re-election as a councillor, further consolidating the incumbent’s edge. Nominations closed in late August with no major late-breaking developments or consolidated opposition emerging to alter the consensus. Traders appear to price in the structural advantages of incumbency and the absence of polling or events that would materially shift the outcome before election day.
