Russia's Supreme Court disqualified Yabloko's federal party list from the September 2026 State Duma ballot on August 10 after a Rodina party challenge citing procedural and registration issues, with an appeal rejected shortly afterward. This bars the liberal opposition party—historically polling near 1% and last clearing the 5% proportional representation threshold in 1999—from competing nationwide, leaving only limited single-mandate candidacies intact. Administrative pressure on the anti-war party, including candidate disqualifications, has compounded these barriers ahead of the vote. Trader consensus at 98.6% for failure reflects the binding court action and structural limits on opposition participation. Late reinstatement via extraordinary legal reversal remains a narrow possibility before election day.
