Goldman Sachs holds a market-implied lead at 57.5% for the lead-left role in Anthropic’s IPO, ahead of Morgan Stanley at 22.5%, reflecting its stronger positioning in recent mega-tech offerings and experience securing the top slot on SpaceX. Both banks were selected as primary bookrunners in early June 2026 alongside JPMorgan, following Anthropic’s confidential S-1 filing and $965 billion valuation from its prior round. The dueling timelines with OpenAI’s planned debut have prompted distinct deal teams at the banks to manage conflicts while vying for the higher-fee lead position. Investor meetings scheduled for July underscore ongoing syndication activity, with Goldman’s recent league-table momentum and established AI-sector relationships supporting its elevated odds versus peers.

If no IPO occurs by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or Anthropic completes an initial public offering without a designated lead underwriter, this market will resolve to “Other.”
If multiple banks are identified as lead underwriters, this market will resolve according to the primary lead underwriter. If the hierarchy between them is unclear, this market will resolve once it is conclusively evident which bank is the primary lead underwriter, for example, through the order in which the banks are listed in the underwriting section of Anthropic’s final initial public offering prospectus, once released.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official disclosures from Anthropic. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
