This market will resolve to the coach who wins the 2026 Associated Press (AP) NFL Coach of the Year award for the 2026-27 NFL season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by NFL rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the coach whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026-27 NFL season is cancelled, postponed after February 28, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The 2026 NFL Coach of the Year market remains tightly bunched early in the season because multiple first-year head coaches enter situations primed for turnaround narratives that historically drive AP voting. John Harbaugh, the slight market leader after taking over the Giants, brings a Super Bowl pedigree and prior COY win to a young roster expected to improve markedly on recent four-win seasons. Jesse Minter, installed as Harbaugh’s successor in Baltimore, inherits Lamar Jackson and a talented defense that underperformed last year; his background as a highly regarded coordinator fuels expectations for a quick defensive rebound and playoff return. Comparable dynamics surround Robert Saleh with the Titans, Kellen Moore in year two with the Saints, and other new or returning coaches such as Joe Brady, Kevin Stefanski, and Ben Johnson, each backed by roster upgrades or divisional opportunity. With no team yet having played a regular-season snap, trader consensus prices reflect broad uncertainty over which coach will most exceed preseason expectations once results and injuries shape the storylines.
