If the 2026-27 NFL season concludes early, is shortened, or is truncated for any reason, the outcome shall be determined using available NFL statistics for completed games. If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed after January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or it is unclear which player led the NFL in interceptions within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.**The 2026-27 NFL interceptions leader market reflects a wide-open field driven by high year-to-year variance in defensive takeaways.** Xavier McKinney (7.5%), Derek Stingley Jr. (7.0%), Kevin Byard (6.5%), and Marlon Humphrey (4.5%) sit atop the listed probabilities, with the broader field—including Jaycee Horn, Tremaine Edmunds, Sauce Gardner, Kerby Joseph, and Mansoor Delane—clustered closely behind amid substantial “Other” volume at 50%. Interceptions remain one of the league’s most volatile individual stats, heavily influenced by target volume, coverage scheme, opponent quarterback play, and situational opportunities rather than pure talent alone. Byard’s 2025 league lead of seven picks and strong recent form for several veteran safeties and cornerbacks keep multiple names viable, while the preseason timing means limited 2026 data and roster uncertainty further compress the probabilities. Traders price in the wisdom-of-crowds consensus that no single defender has established a durable edge heading into Week 1.
