The market's strong lean toward a Lions-Packers split reflects the NFC North rivals' comparable talent and recent form heading into 2026, with both clubs projected as playoff contenders in a competitive division. Detroit enters as the betting favorite to top the North after a bounce-back campaign, bolstered by an easier schedule and continuity under Dan Campbell, while Green Bay's upgraded roster—including additions like Micah Parsons—positions them for 10-plus wins and strong home performance at Lambeau in Week 18. Historical patterns of divided season series in this matchup, combined with the away/home split and limited recent head-to-head dominance, support the wisdom of crowds pricing a tie as the most probable outcome over either team sweeping.
