Labor's decisive 2025 re-election victory under Anthony Albanese, which delivered a record seat tally and two-party-preferred swing, has anchored trader pricing around the incumbent at roughly 40 percent for the 2028 contest. With the next federal election still more than two years away, Coalition leadership under Angus Taylor, internal party dynamics, and potential challenges from minor-party figures such as Pauline Hanson keep implied probabilities tightly clustered. Economic conditions, voter sentiment shifts, and any early leadership spill signals remain the principal variables that could widen spreads ahead of the next parliamentary term.
