PL maintains a leading position in the October 4, 2026, Chamber of Deputies contest due to its status as the largest current caucus with strong state-level infrastructure and candidate recruitment under the open-list proportional system. União Brasil (UPB) trails as a primary center-right alternative, reflecting competition within the broader centrão bloc amid high incumbent reelection rates driven by expanded parliamentary earmarks. Recent campaign developments, including the official start of candidate registration and presidential polling trends favoring the right-wing brand associated with PL, have shaped trader consensus around these two frontrunners, with smaller parties constrained by electoral thresholds and limited scale. Structural advantages for established parties continue to define positioning ahead of the vote.
