Both teams enter the 2026 season with major roster turnover and defensive questions that have shaped trader consensus around a likely series split. The Cowboys overhauled their defense under new coordinator Christian Parker, adding first-rounders Caleb Downs and Malachi Lawrence plus veterans like Rashan Gary and Quinnen Williams after a poor 2025 unit and the departure of Micah Parsons. The Eagles retooled their receiving corps after A.J. Brown’s exit, drafting Makai Lemon and adding speed options around DeVonta Smith while relying on Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley. With both clubs viewed as comparable in talent and facing each other once in Philadelphia (Week 7) and once on Thanksgiving in Dallas, the implied probability of each winning one game aligns with historical NFC East patterns and preseason uncertainty.
