Recent polling consistently shows the Parti Québécois leading with roughly 30% support, ahead of the Quebec Liberals at 24-27% and the CAQ at 19-20%, with the Parti Conservateur du Québec near 13-15%. The PQ's strength among francophone voters, who decide most ridings outside Montreal, supports projections of it securing the largest number of seats in the October 5 election. New CAQ leader Christine Fréchette and PLQ leader Charles Milliard have not reversed their parties' declines since François Legault's resignation earlier in 2026. High undecided voter shares near 50% and vote splitting among federalist parties contribute to the current trader consensus favoring a PQ plurality or majority outcome.
