The Grammys 2027 Song of the Year market sits in a wide-open state in August 2026, with numerous placeholder and TBD options each carrying roughly 50% implied probability that underscores the absence of any dominant frontrunner this early in the eligibility window. Specific early contenders such as Olivia Rodrigo’s “drop dead,” Taylor Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia,” and tracks from Ariana Grande, Bruno Mars, and Olivia Dean register lower odds, reflecting limited cumulative data on streaming velocity, chart longevity, and critical consensus. Song of the Year voters historically reward broad cultural resonance and songwriting craft over debut-week spikes, so momentum will likely shift with major fall releases, year-end Billboard and streaming tallies, and the first wave of critics’ and guild nods closer to nominations. Traders are watching how late-2026 breakthroughs can overtake current bets before the February 2027 ceremony.
