Traders view the race for the number-two Spotify song on the weekly chart ending August 28 as highly competitive, with several tracks clustered near the top of market-implied odds due to fluctuating daily streams and distinct momentum drivers. Shakira and Burna Boy’s “Dai Dai,” the official FIFA World Cup 2026 anthem, maintains an edge from sustained tournament-related playlisting and global appeal despite modest recent declines, while Malcolm Todd’s “Earrings” benefits from ongoing TikTok virality and consistent U.S. gains that lifted it into the upper ranks. Tame Impala’s “Loser” has shown the sharpest upward trajectory through algorithmic boosts and rising international traction. Older catalog tracks like Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj’s “Beauty and a Beat” trail amid weaker current velocity, and longer-shot Ariana Grande releases plus BTS’s “SWIM” face steeper barriers from lower positioning. Friday’s official update will resolve the outcome amid these shifting platform metrics.
