Early trader consensus on the 2027 Best Adapted Screenplay market reflects the prestige surrounding Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, which benefits from his recent awards momentum and strong initial Academy screenings, alongside The Black Ball and The Invite as other early frontrunners. With no guild or precursor results yet ahead of January 2027 nominations, probabilities remain fluid across literary adaptations like Project Hail Mary and Wildwood, plus studio sequels such as Dune: Part Three. Differentiators include source-material pedigree, director track records in the category, and anticipated critical reception once fall festivals and late-2026 releases clarify campaign trajectories.
