This market will resolve in favor of the player that finishes Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season with the most passing yards. Only games designated by the NFL as Week 1 of the 2026-27 regular season count. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve in favor of the tied player with more completed passes in Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the player with a higher yards per passing attempt in Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve to "Other". If Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season is shortened or truncated for any reason, the outcome shall be determined using available NFL statistics for completed games. If Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed past September 30, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or it is unclear which player led the NFL in passing yards within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The tight clustering of implied probabilities around 25–50% for dozens of quarterbacks reflects the inherent uncertainty of Week 1 in the 2026 NFL season, where passing-yard totals hinge on game scripts, defensive matchups, and offensive volume rather than established in-season trends. Factors such as favorable home/road splits, favorable weather conditions, and potential shootouts against weaker secondaries elevate candidates like high-volume starters while keeping established names competitive. Roster health, including any late injury designations or backup elevations, along with coaching tendencies toward pass-heavy approaches in opening contests, further spreads the field. Historical Week 1 data shows wide variance in leader totals due to unpredictable pace and turnover margins, sustaining the broad trader consensus across the board.
