**Week 1 rushing yards leader markets remain tightly bunched because a single NFL game offers limited carries, variable game scripts, and shifting defensive fronts that can swing totals dramatically.** Recent training camp and preseason developments have clarified several backfields, with Cam Skattebo emerging as the Giants’ lead option after recovering from his 2025 leg injury and earning a projected heavy workload, while established volume backs like Saquon Barkley, Derrick Henry, Bijan Robinson, and Jonathan Taylor enter with favorable Week 1 matchups and established roles. Committee situations persist elsewhere, including split duties involving James Cook, De’Von Achane, and rookies or depth pieces such as Omarion Hampton, RJ Harvey, and Jeremiyah Love. Official depth charts, injury reports, and offensive-line health continue to drive implied probabilities, underscoring how quickly one strong or limited outing can reshape the leaderboard in an inherently unpredictable opener.
