Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah holds the leading position in trader consensus for the 2027 Enugu gubernatorial election due to his incumbency, decisive APC primary victory with near-unanimous delegate support, and recent party switch from PDP. This has consolidated backing from state party structures, local government officials, and endorsements including from former Minister of Power Barth Nnaji. Political zoning arrangements and G-17 mobilization further strengthen his path ahead of the February 2027 vote. Lower-priced options such as James Ene Nwannaji reflect limited visible opposition consolidation or polling momentum at present. Scheduled primaries, candidate nominations, and any late coalition moves within the next several months could still influence final positioning before ballots close.
