This market will resolve according to the winner of the Democratic Primary for United States Senator from Florida. If no 2026 Florida Democratic Senate Primary takes place, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be the first announcement of the results from the Florida Democratic party, however an overwhelming consensus of credible reporting may suffice.**Angie Nixon secured the Democratic nomination for Florida’s U.S. Senate special election on August 18, 2026, defeating Alex Vindman by roughly 12 points (56%-44%) in an upset driven by strong grassroots turnout.** As a Jacksonville state representative and union organizer, Nixon built support through extensive local canvassing and emphasis on affordability issues such as healthcare, housing, and childcare, while securing backing from progressive figures including Rep. Maxwell Frost and, post-primary, Sen. Bernie Sanders. Despite Vindman’s substantial fundraising edge (over $16 million versus Nixon’s under $1 million), voters favored her established Florida roots and organizing focus over the former national security official’s profile. Other listed candidates had withdrawn earlier. Trader consensus at 100% reflects the certified primary results; the only realistic challenges would involve an extremely narrow recount or unforeseen legal dispute, both considered highly improbable given the margin and rapid concession.
