Recent National Weather Service and model consensus forecasts indicate Miami's September 5 high will likely peak near 89°F amid mostly sunny morning conditions transitioning to scattered thunderstorms by afternoon, with a 50-70% rain chance and southeast winds near 5-8 mph. High humidity supports heat indices above 100°F, yet cloud cover and precipitation timing typically suppress maximum readings below climatological normals of 90°F. The prior day's observed 91°F high and ongoing late-summer convective patterns underpin trader emphasis on the 90-91°F bin, while afternoon storm development introduces uncertainty that tempers probabilities for 92°F or higher. Updated hourly observations and any revised NWS guidance through late afternoon remain key variables for final resolution.
