The Last House holds overwhelming market-implied odds for the #2 global Netflix movie this week due to its sustained dominance since the August 7 release. The Louis Leterrier-directed sci-fi thriller, starring Greta Lee and Wagner Moura, posted tens of millions of views in its first two weeks and topped or ranked near the top of Netflix’s official charts, reflecting strong algorithmic promotion and audience retention around its sealed-home survival premise. Recent Tudum reports confirm continued momentum into mid-August despite mixed critic scores. An upset would require one or more new wide releases, such as a major studio title or buzzy original, to generate materially higher viewership in the final days of the tracking week and displace it in the global ranking.
