Recent July 2026 data showing 33.8% year-over-year inflation, up modestly from June amid seasonal pressures, has kept trader focus on the pace of disinflation under Argentina’s fiscal surplus and monetary framework. Analyst consensus from IMF, OECD, and central bank surveys clusters end-2026 expectations near 30%, supporting the narrow contest between the 30.0-34.9% (52%) and 25-29.9% (43%) ranges. Monthly readings near 2% and lingering price inertia create swing factors around wage adjustments and policy continuity, while lower-probability bins reflect limited scope for sharper acceleration or rapid convergence below 25%. Market-implied odds thus embed current capital-weighted views on these near-term catalysts.
