Apple’s first foldable iPhone, widely expected as the iPhone Ultra or Fold, is slated for unveiling alongside the iPhone 18 Pro models at the September 9, 2026 event. Supply-chain reports confirm limited production ramp-up in late August at a few hundred units daily, with the device featuring a 5.5-inch cover display and 7.8-inch inner OLED panel. Analyst consensus from Ming-Chi Kuo, TrendForce, and others places the starting price in a new premium tier at $2,000–$2,500, with TrendForce specifically estimating $2,099–$2,299 depending on storage and potential top configurations exceeding $3,000. This positioning reflects higher bill-of-materials costs for the hinge, flexible display, and components versus Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold lineup, though exact announced pricing remains subject to Apple’s final reveal and any last-minute adjustments.
